On Feb. 23, 2026, 32-year-old Nick Reiner pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles courtroom to two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents, Rob and Michele Singer Reiner. Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Greene now represents him after attorney Alan Jackson withdrew in January; prosecutors say they are awaiting the full autopsy and have turned over all other evidence to the defense. The LA County Medical Examiner’s initial findings list "multiple sharp force injuries" as the cause of death but a court order blocks further details, and a judge ordered Reiner to return April 29 for scheduling of a preliminary hearing.
