Singer d4vd Pleads Not Guilty To Capital Murder And Abuse Of 14-Year-Old In Los Angeles
Singer David Burke, known as d4vd, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and related counts in Los Angeles on Monday. Los Angeles County prosecutors filed first-degree murder charges with special-circumstance allegations, and they also accused Burke of lewd acts with a person under 14 and mutilating a body. District Attorney Nathan Hochman said the filing includes lying-in-wait, killing for financial gain and murdering a witness, which can make the case eligible for the death penalty. Burke was arraigned Monday, pleaded not guilty to all counts and the judge denied him bail. Prosecutors say the dismembered, decomposed remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found Sept. 8, 2025 in cadaver bags in the front storage area of a 2023 Tesla Model Y.
