Democratic candidates are outpacing Republican opponents in fundraising for key midterm House and Senate races. The trend is evident in competitive districts and states where control of Congress is at stake this election cycle. Republican-aligned committees, however, still hold a large cash reserve that changes how money can be used on the ground.
