Two Philadelphia police officers were shot multiple times around 1 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of North 52nd Street in West Philadelphia and were taken into surgery.[1]

Police arrested a suspect after pulling him from a tree near the scene, authorities said.[1] Officers recovered three firearms, including a handgun taken from one of the wounded officers, police said.[1] Both officers were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for surgery and their conditions were not immediately released, officials said.[1]
