U.S. And U.K. Soldiers Killed In Training Accident At Iraq Air Base

An American and a British soldier were killed in a training accident Sunday, May 31, 2026, at an air base in Irbil in Iraq's Kurdish region.[1]

The U.S. Army said it was withholding the American soldier's name pending notification of next of kin.[1] The U.K. ministry said the British soldier's family has been notified.[1]
