JetBlue Flight 1112, an Airbus A320 from Curaçao to New York, reported a near‑miss about 20 minutes after takeoff north of Curaçao when a U.S. Air Force tanker crossed its path and, the pilot said, passed within roughly 2–5 miles at the same altitude, forcing the crew to stop a climb and descend to maintain separation. The tanker reportedly had no operating transponder and did not appear on radar before entering Venezuelan airspace; U.S. Southern Command said it is reviewing the incident, and JetBlue has reported it to federal authorities and will cooperate with any investigation amid an FAA advisory about heightened military activity near Venezuela.
