War Powers and Iran

Progressive groups including Justice Democrats, MoveOn, Progressive Change Campaign Committee and Our Revolution are preparing to back primary challenges against House Democrats who vote against a Khanna–Massie war‑powers resolution — a measure now publicly backed by House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and led in the House by Rep. Ro Khanna with GOP Rep. Thomas Massie. The vote comes as U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran proceed without congressional authorization, producing cross‑party defections and razor‑thin margins that make passage uncertain and, even if passed, likely to face a presidential veto.
