Former University of Virginia student Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. was sentenced Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, to five life terms plus 23 years for the 2022 bus shooting that killed football players D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr., and Devin Chandler and wounded two others in Charlottesville. Jones, who pleaded guilty last year to murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and firearm charges, apologized to victims’ families during the hearing.
