Model and actor Mario Rodriguez, who appeared in Tyler Perry’s 2016 film Boo! A Madea Halloween, has filed a civil lawsuit seeking $77 million alleging repeated unwanted sexual advances by Perry between roughly 2014 and 2019 — including initial contact through an Equinox trainer, alleged groping at Perry’s home while watching a movie, attempts to unbuckle his pants and to place Rodriguez’s hand on Perry’s genitals, and payments of $5,000 to Rodriguez on several occasions afterward. Perry’s attorney Alex Spiro denied the claims, calling the suit “nothing but a 77 million dollar money grab scam,” and the filing comes amid a separate earlier $260 million suit by actor Derek Dixon alleging sexual assault and harassment tied to Perry’s TV shows.
