Trump–Russia Investigation

Robert S. Mueller III, 81, died Friday night, his family said, without specifying cause or location; the former FBI director who rebuilt the bureau after 9/11 and was appointed special counsel in May 2017 led the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. His investigation produced multiple charges and guilty pleas but did not establish conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia and left obstruction unresolved, and President Trump reacted on Truth Social, posting, "Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!"
