Hays County, Texas authorities say 21‑year‑old Abraham Herrera is back in jail facing multiple charges after allegedly taking part in two drive‑by shootings in Kyle and Martindale and a Nov. 12 SWAT standoff in Buda, just weeks after he was released from custody on earlier weapons and evading charges. Investigators report that shell casings from a Nov. 3 random shooting that seriously injured a homeowner were later matched to an AR‑15‑style rifle seized from Herrera during the SWAT incident, leading to new aggravated assault and related counts and a total bond of about $409,500.
