Michael Reagan, the elder son of President Ronald Reagan, died Jan. 4, 2026 at 80, “called home to be with the Lord” and surrounded by his family, his wife Colleen and children Cameron and Ashley said; the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation called him “a steadfast guardian of his father's legacy.” Adopted by Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, he was an actor (including a role on Falcon Crest), a conservative commentator and long‑time host of The Michael Reagan Show and contributor to Newsmax, the author of On the Outside Looking In, Twice Adopted and Lessons My Father Taught Me, and a philanthropist who raised funds for groups such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; a cause of death was not immediately announced.
