A large robocall phishing campaign impersonating Walmart is hitting U.S. consumers with fake $919.45 PlayStation purchase alerts and attempting to harvest credit cards and Social Security numbers. YouMail, working with the FCC, is tracking the operation as the FCC on Dec. 2 sent an enforcement letter ordering South Korea–based SK Teleco to block the suspected traffic and opened an investigation; experts warn scammers are using realistic AI voices and the Walmart brand to pressure victims.
