A fire broke out aboard the 1,102-foot container ship One Henry Hudson, operated by One Ocean Express (Singapore), docked at the Port of Los Angeles; officials say the blaze began below deck, spread to several levels and was followed by a mid‑deck explosion that affected ship power. More than 100 firefighters and HazMat teams responded, all 23 crew members were safely evacuated with no injuries, and authorities are continuing fire‑suppression efforts and air‑quality monitoring after identifying hazardous materials in affected bays.
