Anti‑Islam protesters and counterprotesters clashed in Dearborn, Michigan, on Nov. 18 after a man attempted to burn a Quran, prompting police to intervene and make three arrests for disorderly behavior from different groups. Police Chief Issa Shahin praised officers’ “disciplined and measured response” and thanked the community, while conservative influencer Cam Higby alleged he was pepper‑sprayed and robbed during the chaos and said officers on scene declined to take a report so he left without filing one.
