Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy O’Connor was fatally shot as he approached a car he had stopped in West Caln Township after a report of an erratic driver; authorities say the 32-year-old Chester County resident fired from inside the vehicle, then walked a short distance and died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. O’Connor—who radioed that he had pulled the car over before going silent—was married with a young daughter, Gov. Josh Shapiro visited the family at Paoli Hospital and ordered flags lowered, and Pennsylvania State Police and Chester County detectives are jointly investigating.
