Pornhub is responding to a major privacy scare after hacking group ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen 94GB of Pornhub Premium user data covering more than 200 million records, including email addresses and detailed viewing and search histories, and is attempting to extort the company with a Bitcoin ransom under threat of public release. Pornhub says its core systems were not breached and that passwords and payment details remain secure, while the data appears to be several years old and possibly tied to now‑ended analytics work by vendor Mixpanel, which denies its November 2025 breach exposed Pornhub information.
