The NCAA announced Friday that former Temple University basketball player Hysier Miller placed 42 impermissible bets on Temple men’s basketball from Nov. 7, 2022 through March 2, 2024, including three bets against his own team, and imposed permanent ineligibility. Miller’s attorney said the NCAA found no evidence of point‑shaving and that Miller cooperated fully; Temple said investigators found no university wrongdoing and that it took remedial actions.
