Former Senate leader Mitch McConnell was discharged from the hospital Tuesday after more than a week of inpatient treatment for "flu‑like symptoms," and his spokesman said he is feeling better and will work from home this week on doctors' orders. McConnell has not voted since Jan. 30, when the Senate passed a major funding package, as Congress faces a Friday deadline to fund DHS; his recent health history includes childhood polio, a 2023 concussion with "freezing" episodes and a 2024 fall, and he has said he will not run again in 2026.
