CMS said earlier this month that Medicare Part B premiums will rise 9.7% in 2026 to $202.90 per month and the annual deductible will increase to $283, the largest premium jump since 2022. Because Part B premiums are deducted from Social Security, the hike will offset part of SSA’s 2.8% 2026 COLA, with NCPSSM estimating the net COLA effect near 1.9% on average and potentially zero for some lower‑benefit recipients.
