Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche ordered federal rescheduling of state-licensed medical marijuana to Schedule III on Thursday in Washington.
The Justice Department said the order covers FDA-approved marijuana products and products regulated by a state medical marijuana license.
Blanche signed the order after President Trump issued a December executive order directing the attorney general to start rescheduling rulemaking.
