Tea Party Patriots Action and more than a dozen conservative groups sent a letter this week urging the House Judiciary Committee to reject H.R. 1109, the Litigation Transparency Act of 2025, warning it would chill speech and donor participation by forcing disclosure of private litigation funding. Bill sponsor Rep. Darrell Issa told Fox News the measure will be clarified with a 'small update' to affirm it does not require disclosure of donor lists and is aimed only at revealing 'material' third‑party funders/partners in lawsuits.
