Latino Voters

A Pew Research Center survey (Oct. 6–16; n=4,923 Latinos) finds 71% of U.S. Latinos say the administration is doing too much on deportations and 65% disapprove of its approach to immigration (48% strongly), while 21% approve. The poll also documents rising anxiety and negative assessments — 52% worry they or someone close could be deported, many report recent local immigration raids or knowing someone detained or deported, 68% say Hispanics are worse off under Trump’s second term and about four‑in‑five say his policies harm Hispanics, with notable partisan and origin-group splits.

According to a new Pew Research Center poll, 61% of Latinos say President Trump has made the U.S. economy worse and majorities disapprove of him and his policies—including about four-in-five who say his policies harm Hispanics. The poll and reporting from Axios and NPR also found widespread financial insecurity (roughly half say they struggled to afford food, housing or medical care in the past year and 36% borrowed money), even as government data show Hispanic median household income rose and poverty fell; 63% rate their personal finances fair/poor but half expect improvement next year.
