Florida teens indicted as adults in killing of 14-year-old
A Santa Rosa County, Florida grand jury has indicted Gabriel Williams, 16, and Kimahri Blevins, 14, on first-degree premeditated murder charges in the killing of 14-year-old classmate Danika Troy, who was lured to a wooded area in Pace, shot multiple times and set on fire after being reported missing on Dec. 1, 2025. Prosecutors will try both as adults, holding them without bail in the Santa Rosa County Jail ahead of Jan. 8, 2026 arraignments, while Sheriff Bob Johnson says the teens’ claimed social-media dispute motive does not match forensic evidence and Danika’s mother rejects their account as an “excuse.”
