Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has asked senior Trump administration immigration figures, including White House policy aide Stephen Miller, border czar Tom Homan, former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons and CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott, to testify before a new Illinois Accountability Commission about ICE’s past "Operation Midway Blitz" enforcement in the state. In a letter signed by commission chair and former federal judge Rubén Castillo, Pritzker seeks public testimony at hearings set for April 27–28 on alleged rights violations tied to aggressive ICE tactics, citing incidents such as the fatal shooting of Silverio Villegas‑González in Franklin Park, the shooting of Marimar Martinez, repeated tear‑gas deployments in residential areas, detention of U.S. citizens and “military‑style” raids.
