South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and former President Donald Trump have backed the proposed "Dalilah Law," which would bar undocumented immigrants from obtaining commercial driver’s licenses, after a crash involving an undocumented truck driver critically injured young Dalilah. Dalilah, now a first-grader relearning to walk and still dependent on a feeding tube, prompted her parents Marcus Coleman and Ileana Krause to remain in Washington after the State of the Union to lobby Congress directly, saying they want to protect other children and were grateful their daughter's story was heard by the president.
