Ohio’s high school athletic association voted 447–121 to allow student-athletes to enter name, image and likeness (NIL) agreements, making Ohio the 45th state to adopt a high school NIL framework. The bylaw, effective immediately, follows an Oct. 20 TRO by Franklin County Judge Jaiza Page in a lawsuit brought by the mother of top 2027 football recruit Jamier Brown; OHSAA says the rule sets reporting and eligibility safeguards while Brown’s attorneys plan to dismiss their suit.
