Prosecutors say two Texas men were indicted for plotting to seize Haiti’s Gonâve Island and enslave women and children. Defense attorneys David Finn (for Weisenburg) and John Helms (for Thomas) say both men will plead not guilty and Finn urged the public to "hold their horses"; the indictment says Weisenburg enrolled in the North Texas Fire Academy in August 2024 and "failed out" nearly six months later, and the U.S. Air Force did not respond to requests about Thomas’s service.
