The National Rifle Association has filed a federal lawsuit in Washington, D.C., accusing its affiliated NRA Foundation of misusing about $160 million in donations, infringing NRA trademarks, and being taken over by a faction of 'disgruntled' former NRA board members seeking to rival the gun‑rights group. The complaint, coming after former CEO Wayne LaPierre was found liable for financial mismanagement and ordered to repay more than $4.3 million, asks the court to bar the foundation from using NRA branding or suggesting its activities are sponsored or authorized by the NRA.
