Kathryn Ruemmler will resign as Goldman Sachs’ chief legal officer and general counsel effective June 30 after a DOJ release of Jeffrey Epstein‑related documents revealed 2014–2019 emails and calendar entries showing close, affectionate ties — she referred to Epstein as “Uncle Jeffrey” or “another older brother,” accepted luxury gifts including handbags and a fur coat, and agreed to arrange a White House tour at his request. CEO David Solomon accepted and praised her as an “extraordinary general counsel,” while her departure — despite earlier efforts to distance herself and initial vows not to resign — is one of several recent exits and probes sparked by the Epstein files.
