Modern DNA testing matched semen and sperm found on two towels from the 1975 murder of Judith Lord to neighbor Ernest Gable, producing a partial profile the state estimates would occur about 1 in 6.5 million in the African American population. New Hampshire officials say that DNA evidence, plus fingerprint analysis, witness testimony and Gable’s incriminating behavior and violent history, overcame a 1975 FBI hair comparison that had found hairs at the scene "microscopically different" from Gable and together establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt; records and photos link Gable (aka Ernie Stanberry) to the Concord Gardens apartments.
