The Justice Department said Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, that former U.S. soldier Craig Austin Lang, 35, was sentenced to two consecutive life terms for the April 2018 killings of Serafin “Danny” Lorenzo Jr. and Deana Lorenzo in Estero, Florida, during a staged gun sale robbery. Prosecutors said Lang and co-defendant Alex Jared Zwiefelhofer lured the couple via Armslist to steal $3,000 to fund travel to Venezuela to fight the Maduro government; Lang was extradited from Ukraine after previously fighting with the Right Sector and against Russian separatists.
