Grants Pass School District 7 in Oregon agreed to pay $650,000 and revise policy to resolve a lawsuit by former assistant principal Rachel Sager and teacher Katie Medart, who were disciplined after promoting their own gender‑identity policy proposals. The Nov. 14 settlement, announced by Alliance Defending Freedom, follows a June 9th Circuit decision partially vacating a lower‑court ruling and remanding for trial, and also requires a public statement, removal of negative personnel references, and positive recommendation letters.
