The Trump administration has launched a "Tech Force" to recruit 1,000 technologists to help modernize government, offering salaries of $150,000–$200,000 and partnering with more than 25 private‑sector firms including Apple, Microsoft, Meta, AWS, Google Public Sector, NVIDIA, Dell, Palantir, Uber, Zoom and Adobe. Targeting early‑career technologists (roughly five to seven years’ experience) for two‑year placements across agencies — including defense, State, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services — the program will focus on AI implementation, software development and data modernization and will culminate in a job fair to help transition participants to private‑sector roles; its launch came days after a Trump executive order on a national AI policy framework.
