A funeral for former Vice President Dick Cheney was held at Washington's National Cathedral, attended by former Presidents George W. Bush — who spoke — and Joe Biden, former vice presidents Kamala Harris, Mike Pence and Dan Quayle, and Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and John Roberts. Speakers included Bush, Cheney’s cardiologist Dr. Jonathan Reiner, former NBC correspondent Pete Williams, Liz Cheney and Cheney’s grandchildren; Cheney died of complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, the White House said it did not issue a presidential proclamation but ordered flags lowered per statute and asked congressional leaders to follow that protocol, and Reuters reported President Trump and Vice President Vance were not invited.
