With TSA officers unpaid and thousands calling out amid a prolonged DHS funding lapse—producing hours‑long security lines at airports nationwide and prompting the administration to deploy ICE and other DHS agents to assist at about 14 airports, including Philadelphia—District Attorney Larry Krasner held a press event at Philadelphia International Airport warning he would arrest and prosecute any ICE agents who commit crimes while performing airport security functions.
