Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced this week a sweeping indictment of 14 people accused of running a sophisticated porch piracy operation that hacked shipment tracking data to steal high‑value packages across Long Island. Prosecutors say the ring targeted FedEx deliveries of Verizon and AT&T devices from October 2023 to February 2025, moved within minutes of drop‑off, and in at least one case rushed a driver carrying 15 Samsung tablets; alleged ringleader Andricson Jerez, 29, of the Bronx, and accomplices face 50 felony counts.
