Thai police arrested a 35-year-old Russian national on Nov. 6 in Phuket after an FBI tip, alleging he carried out cyberattacks on U.S. and European government agencies; he was transferred to Bangkok and is being held pending U.S. extradition. Thailand’s Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau said agents seized laptops, phones and digital wallets, while Russian media identified the suspect as Denis Obrezko and U.S. officials declined to comment; Thai authorities confirmed a formal U.S. extradition request has been filed.
