Grand Canyon National Park has reopened South Rim overnight lodging — including El Tovar, Bright Angel Lodge, Maswik Lodge, Delaware North’s Yavapai Lodge and Trailer Village — after crews completed complex repairs on a failing water pipeline and resumed pumping without identifying new breaks. The park will operate under enhanced water restrictions until storage tanks are adequately refilled, urging visitors to conserve water and hikers to bring or treat their own supply; the closure was the second halt for repairs to the late-1960s pipeline, which is undergoing a $208 million rehabilitation begun in 2023.
