Hilton has removed the Hampton Inn Lakeville from its systems and effectively severed the franchise relationship after DHS‑posted emails and a viral video alleged the independently owned hotel refused to house ICE and other immigration agents; the owner, Everpeak Hospitality, apologized and said the cancellations were inconsistent with its policies, and a follow‑up incident in which a journalist posing as a DHS agent was denied prompted the corporate action. The General Services Administration also delisted the property from FedRooms and other federal lodging programs, terminated emergency and long‑term arrangements, and a crane was later used to take down the hotel’s Hampton Inn signage as the listed phone number appeared disconnected.
