Baltimore police have charged 52‑year‑old Brian Burrows with first‑degree murder and 20 other counts after a nine‑day robbery spree that investigators say left 36‑year‑old convenience store clerk Khaled Saleh Mohamed Alshariki dead on Feb. 13, 2026. Charging documents describe surveillance video showing a gunman approach Alshariki behind the counter, demand money and then shoot him in the torso; police say subsequent video and witness statements linked the same suspect to at least two other armed robberies on Feb. 6 and Feb. 15. Detectives used facial‑recognition technology to identify Burrows as a possible match before arresting him on Feb. 19 at a home in the city’s Linden Heights neighborhood. Court records show Burrows was already wanted on a September 2025 probation‑violation warrant from a prior armed‑robbery case in which he received a 20‑year sentence with 13 years suspended and supervised probation, raising fresh questions about supervision of violent offenders. He is being held without bond while prosecutors pursue the new murder and robbery charges and the outstanding probation violation.
