An Atlanta-area man charged in a series of shootings died in DeKalb County jail before investigators determined a motive. The suspect, a naturalized U.S. citizen and Navy veteran, was arrested after three people were killed and a fourth was injured across multiple Atlanta suburbs early one morning. Authorities identified the victims as DHS auditor Lauren Bullis, 40; Prianna Weathers, 31; and Tony Mathews, 49, who later died of his wounds. Weathers was killed around 12:50 a.m. in Decatur; Mathews was ambushed in Brookhaven; and Bullis was shot and stabbed about 6:50 a.m. in Panthersville.
