Amazon has started issuing refunds to eligible Prime members as part of a $2.5 billion settlement resolving an FTC lawsuit alleging deceptive sign‑ups and difficult cancellations. Automatic payments are being sent Nov. 12–Dec. 24 via PayPal or Venmo (with checks mailed if unclaimed), and customers not paid automatically can file claims starting Dec. 24; eligibility covers sign‑ups between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025 that used specified “challenged enrollment” flows and limited Prime benefit usage.
