The update comes as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, asked at the White House on Tuesday, downplayed any Saudi state role, while the kingdom appeals an August ruling by Judge George B. Daniels allowing an inference that two Saudi operatives assisted the hijackers.
