Dollar Tree recalls 360K balloon pumps for fire risk

Dollar Tree and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 360,500 electric balloon pumps sold nationwide after reports the pumps can overheat, catch fire or explode.[1]

The recall covers about 360,500 pumps, model 406198, that are pink with a blue handle, have two nozzles and two operating modes.[1] They sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide and online via Dollar Tree and DoorDash for about $17 from August 2025 through July 2026.[1]

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says it received three reports of pumps overheating, including one that produced flames and another that exploded.[1] Consumers should stop using the pumps immediately and return them to Dollar Tree for a full refund, officials advised.[1]
