Man charged in 2025 Cedar Avenue bridge shooting
Anthony Louis Rowe, 32, was charged Wednesday with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree aggravated robbery in connection with a shooting under a bridge near Cedar Avenue and 17th Avenue in Minneapolis.[1]
Prosecutors say the victim was shot in the face about 6 a.m. on Nov. 14, 2025 during an alleged robbery.[1] The bullet entered above his eye, passed through the back of the eye and broke his jaw, leaving him blind in that eye and suffering seizures and limited hearing.[1]
A probation officer reported Rowe cut off his ankle monitor on Nov. 11, 2025 and he was wanted on a warrant when the shooting occurred.[1] About a month later, officers found Rowe allegedly in the middle of a drug deal under the same bridge and arrested him.[1] Prosecutors also charged him as a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.[1]
