Little Canada man charged in fatal hit-and-run
Alex Ray Kisch, 36, of Little Canada, was charged Tuesday with criminal vehicular homicide after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run early Sept. 20 on Viking Drive near Lillehei Plaza.[1]
Investigators say a broken mirror and a body clip at the scene matched a 2023 Nissan Rogue later found in Kisch's apartment garage with fresh damage, hair and blood on the passenger side.[1] Apartment surveillance shows the Rogue leaving at 2:01 a.m. with an intact mirror and returning at 2:11 a.m. damaged, and McDonald's video shows the victim walking toward home shortly before the crash.[1]
Deputies served a search warrant at about 6:42 a.m., and said they detected an odor of alcohol on Kisch and observed a brewery wristband and a bar or club hand stamp.[1] They advised him of his rights and obtained a blood sample at Regions Hospital under a warrant, officials said.[1]
