Eastbound I-394 to downtown closed Sept. 18-21
Eastbound I-394 between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis will be closed from 10 a.m. Sept. 18 to 5 a.m. Sept. 21 for bridge and roadway repairs, officials said.[1]
The work includes replacing bridge joints on the eastbound I-394 to eastbound I-94 ramp and painting Penn Avenue bridge beams over I-394, along with other repairs, officials said.[1] Detour routes will send traffic to northbound Highway 169 and eastbound I-94, and westbound I-394 will remain fully open.[1]
Crews will complete the joint replacements and beam painting during the multi-day closure so lane work can be done without alternating traffic through the work zone.[1] Motorists heading downtown should plan extra travel time and follow posted detours or choose alternate routes during the closure.
