Pratt campaign aide quits over pro-Hitler posts
Austin Brown, the field director and one of two paid staffers on Eric Pratt's MN-2 congressional campaign, resigned after social posts praising Hitler and using antisemitic, racist and homophobic language were exposed.[1]
One post read, "You hate Trump because you think he's Hitler. I hate Trump because he's not Hitler," and other posts embraced white Christian nationalism and antisemitic conspiracy theories.[1] Pratt issued a statement condemning antisemitism and saying he accepted Brown's resignation, but the campaign has not said when it learned of the posts or whether it runs background checks on staff.[1]
Brown was the campaign's field director and one of only two paid staffers on Pratt's MN-2 effort.[1] DFL opponent Matt Little said he found the posts in about 30 seconds and said his campaign runs full background checks on top staff.[1] Jewish candidate Brian Cohen said the rhetoric "curdles my stomach" and warned it can fuel real-world antisemitic violence.[1]
