Teens Charged After Stolen G-Wagon Crash Kills New Jersey Couple

Four teenagers have been charged after a stolen Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon crashed head-on early Saturday, Aug. 22, near Route 50 and Third Street in Mays Landing, New Jersey, killing a couple.[1]

The victims were identified as Alice Stilwell Holt, 67, and Robert "Bob" Barr Jr., 54, both of Egg Harbor Township.[1] Authorities say the G-Wagon had been stolen about 3:40 a.m., and that officers from Longport and Hamilton Township followed or pursued the teens before the crash.[1] Officials say the teens led officers on an hours-long pursuit before the fatal collision.[1]

Police say 18-year-old Nayshaun Brown and three juveniles are charged with conspiracy counts including aggravated assault, joyriding, eluding and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.[1] Brown is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility; two juveniles remain in custody and one juvenile was released by a Superior Court judge.[1]
